Supplies for Workshop Gelatin Printing – in person course
I will provide most everything that you will need for the day.
But if you have soft rubber brayers, then please mark them with your name and bring them.
I will provide the homemade gelatin, glycerin and water printing plates for you to use for the day. I will also provide speedball water based block printing ink and basic printing paper.
If you want to bring your own paper and inks you can. These are paper I have used:
- sulphite drawing paper 90 lb or
- Canson Mix Media pad of paper 7”x10, 9 x 12 or 11 x 14
- masa paper
- tissue paper
- one or two sheets of Rives BFK
- any smooth absorbant papers you like to print on
- The best paper for gelatin printing is very smooth, and thin, yet strong and absorbent.
