The finalists were chosen from over 120 entries, and Brian was impressed with the diversity and skill of the submitting artists. The two winners will be announced on November 1 on Bromfield Gallery’s website.

Tonight I had some company in the studio. Taking some time off from gelatin printing and playing with paint with my nephew. Here he is admiring his handy work. We rolled out a piece of paper the whole length of the studio and got the paint everywhere. He is a pensive little guy. His brother painted a bit but was more interested in planes and the bridge that we built over the painting. I played with some ferns and leaves. I also tried several different papers. I am just continuing to print on the maps. Some prints are getting worse and some getting better. I have just about used one whole map book and have started on another.
