Today and yesterday I have been making more dress prints with the gelatin plate printmaking process. Someone left a stack of “accepted” and “rejected” tags on my desk and I was moved to use them as a printing surface. I am preparing for a Show in July. Framing is always a challenge. Today, I have been using a 2″ square piece of gelatin as a stamp. I inked it and then worked into the ink to create designs and impressions. I am thinking of using this method with the kids this summer at College for Kids at Northern Essex community college. It is easy to get some very detailed impressions.
