Printmaking, Prints, Inpiration, and the Internet

Time in the Studio. Time to create. Time alone. I find myself at this keyboard alot. I tend to make myself bad and wrong for that because it means I am not printing, drawing or otherwise creating. But I am marketing and learning. Humm? today I came across another great video. This one is at the MOMA channel and is a talk by the artist Swoon. Boston Printmakers Biennial Deadline in September

September 15th is the deadline for submissions to the the 2009 North American Print Biennial. Roberta Waddell is the Juror. She was the Curator of Prints @ the New York Public Library from 1985 to 2008. she has shown a special interest in supporting contemporary art and artists. Making an Impression: Successful

The art work was well received. The Sargent Gallery was filled to capacity with friends, family and art lovers. The Artists include Linda Germain, Muriel Angelil Susan Jaworski-Stranc, Barbara Nachmias-Kedesdy, Mary Arthur Pollack, Christine Riccardi, Charlotte Roberts, Glenn Szegedy, Mary Tuttle and Mary Carolyn Webber. Monotypes, monoprints, etchings, linocut, serigraphs, and mixed media prints grace the walls of the gallery. The show will run through August 6th.

http://library.shu.edu/gallery/Call_for_submissions_Paperwork.pdf Seton Hall University’s Walsh Gallery is currently soliciting submissions for a group thematic exhibition, PAPERWORK, to be shown November 10th through December 12th, 2008. PAPERWORK is open to all artists who use paper in their work; preference will be given to those artists who experiment with the medium, so as to introduce visitors to fresh adaptations of a traditional material. The curators are especially interested in artbooks, photography, mail art, stamp art, design, fashion, origami, sculpture, installation, collage and cut-outs. Deadline 9/19/08. $15/5 entries max
