Time to Print

Giving myself gifts today

Today I went shoppong for a few tools to play with.  I picked up some fabric paints, some wood glue, some heat-n-bond and embroidery thread.  I am going to experiment with gelatin printing on fabric some more.  I think that I need to try damp fabric and to change my expectations of the impressions that I will be able to make.  I think I need to put down more ink or paint and have the process be more about abstract image than crisp, clean imagery.

Artist Trading Cards – a gelatin prints

Over the weekend I went crazy making ATC’s.  That would be a good crazy.  So I have 40 or so cards with 2 or 3 different images.  It was kind of fun to make a bunch of similar images.  I think they all had a dance feel to them. Because my studio is so cold right now and I needed everything to day quickly I used the speedball inks.  I Used hair spray as a fist fixative and then I brushed on two coats of matt medium.   I do have a video about ATC’s and gelatin printing.
