This is my 3rd 2.5 hour book and I have to say that the process is really working for me in many ways.  I am working and aware of how I might teach an element but also not thinking about it too much because I have to finish in 2.5 hours.  I am going to make another one tomorrow.  I am happy that the Haverhill Public Library is having their book sale next week.  I can’t wait to fill up a bag for $2.00.  I love a bargain. http://www.linda-germain.com/

Well I have been planning for a kids class that will run in February @ LynnArts.  I always over prepared – but I enjoy figuring out the best way to present ideas.  Mixed media is the theme and I proposed altered books thinking that I would be teaching for 2 hrs a day for 4 days.  But no.  I am learning alot and having fun pumping out these books in 2.5 hours.  I have to approach it intuitively and  be all about the process. I want to include packing tape stickers, tissue paper drawings and writings, and some book terminology.   I am limiting myself to the tools that the 6 to 12 year old kids can use.  So no razor blades and power tools. Tonight I experienced the wonder of sand paper.  It can age and transform a page or image in seconds!  http://www.linda-germain.com/
