I gave myself the gift of taking a couple of online art classes very recently. It was quite fun being the student and not the teacher. I gained perspective that I think helps me to be an even better teacher.
The one thing that really hit home is that online classes can be time consuming. I understand how much of a commitment a class can be. And yet on the other hand, I see how easy it can be to sit on the side lines and wait until “later” to try the lessons.
My take away is that beauty of the online art class is that the student can
- choose how active to be
- choose when to do the lessons
- choose to ask questions
- learn a lot from others and still be in the comfort of home.
If you have been thinking about exploring Making Monotypes, with ink on paper and the homemade glycerin and gelatin plate, then you are in luck.
The next session of Make Monotypes is open for registration and class starts October 5th.
