Three steps to a simple card

collaged card
approx 4.5″ x 5.5″

I have a big box of papers on the floor of my studio.  It contains “failed” or unfinished prints.  This little card has

  1. a tea bag background,
  2. some stamping with a block made of hair ties/elastics
  3. and a few hearts cut out of failed gelatin prints.
I am reminding myself to allow for fearless experimentation.  Funny how I have to keep reminding myself.  Happy Printing!

  1. Making cards reminds me of doing finger exercises at the piano: a small gesture that gets your hand moving and imperceptibly builds strength. I love it. Love this card, too.

  2. your work reminds me that there’s no such thing as a failed print! And I do need that reminder. Beautiful card!
