How do you create connections?

I like to be and work alone, but then at the end of the day still need human contact and connections.  The paper stack project with Seth Apter and the Altered page gave me a sense of the possibility of connections with other mixed media artist.  But it still feels pretty abstract.  I wonder how other artists combine, or balance in person and internet connections?

  1. Linda,

You and I have made a connection that I hope will grow and expand as our individual art practices do. I have been following your work on line for about a year and a half and have shared your practice with other artists as well. If you would like, please feel free to email me at lottie.anderson@yahoo.com and perhaps we can commence a correspondence regarding the creation of art at this juncture in our lives and the possibility of creating collabrative works for exhibition here in Toronto and in your area as well. I do hope to hear from you. Lottie

  2. Hello- i found your blog through Seth’s altered Page blog and wanted to say how much i love your work! I’ve recently been re-exploring printmaking and you have definitely inspired me! I live in Mass. as well and am hoping to take the classes Millvale Folk Art Studio you mentioned. Just checking my schedule and seeing if it will work out for me! Thanks for sharing your work and techniques. Hope you make lots of connections through your blog!

  3. Hi Linda, I’ve been popping into your blog for some time now, but don’t think I’ve ever left a comment.

My studio is located in an art complex…everyone is very respectful of one another’s time but there is opportunity to socialize and peak into other’s studios…my blog “life” is just as important to me as it gives me the ability to make connections with people across the country as well as across the city I live in since I’m not much of a joiner.

My current dilemma is shedding a bit of my naivete when it comes to trusting other artists to all be supportive of one another and to leave the foibles of human drama at the door when they enter the complex seeing as to how precious time is for creating art.
