Well I have been planning for a kids class that will run in February @ LynnArts. I always over prepared – but I enjoy figuring out the best way to present ideas. Mixed media is the theme and I proposed altered books thinking that I would be teaching for 2 hrs a day for 4 days. But no. I am learning alot and having fun pumping out these books in 2.5 hours. I have to approach it intuitively and be all about the process. I want to include packing tape stickers, tissue paper drawings and writings, and some book terminology. I am limiting myself to the tools that the 6 to 12 year old kids can use. So no razor blades and power tools. Tonight I experienced the wonder of sand paper. It can age and transform a page or image in seconds! http://www.linda-germain.com/

Linda,
What a great class this will be for the students. Wish I had a class like this when I was a kid! Can’t wait to see what they do, if you post it. Love your work. Thanks.
I can’t wait to see what the kids come up with too. I will share @ the edn of February. Enjoy
