I live in Britain, but after watching your you tube video think I get the idea. Do you know if I can use the vegetarian form of gelatin in the same way? I use a glass sheet in a similar way to make monoprints but would like to give this ago. Thank you for sharing. Denise
Hi, I have not tried the veggie gelatin. It is worth a try. As long as it gets fairly stable but still flexible enough to pick up the deatils. I would use more gelatin than what they call for in a recipe that you would eat. I have been leaving my gelatin right in the pan lately. it makes for messy edges that you have to crop or mat out later, but then you do not have to pick up the gelatin if it is too weak. Hope I get to see what you come up with. Enjoy.
Thank you, I’ll take photos and post them on my blog and tell you how I get on. It will take me a while to get hold of the veg geletin as I live in Wales. There isn’t much here. Its always exciting to learn new ways of doing things. D
