Deadline for SOLO 2010 Competition: October 1, 2009
Juror: Brian T. Allen, Director of the Addison Gallery of American Art in Andover, MA.
The Addison Gallery of American Art, established in 1930, features major works by the most prominent American artists of the past. Recent artists in residence have included William Wegman, Dawoud Bey, Richard Serra, Anna Gaskell and Alex Katz.
SOLO 2010 awards two solo exhibitions, all expenses paid, to two New England artists who have not previously had a solo show in a commercial gallery (group shows, universities, libraries, etc. do not disqualify). All media are welcome.
Finalists will bring 3-5 pieces of artwork to the gallery for review in mid-October. Winners posted on Bromfield site on November 1.
The two winning exhibitions will be held in January, 2010
